Before moving to Switzerland, if you are not a citizen, you are required to have a visa to live and work there. A customs form (14.16) must be stamped and signed by the appropriate Swiss Consulate, prior to your arrival.

You must take up residence prior to customs clearance in order to be eligible to import your household goods duty-free in Switzerland. For goods to be eligible for duty-free clearance, they must be owned and used for at least 6 months. There is a duty and tax on all alcohol over the maximum of 12 litres of hard liquor over 25% ABV and 200 litres of wine or champagne. All goods must arrive within 24 months of your arrival.
